1955 Ford Thunderbird Our 1955 Thunderbird was purchased on August 2, 2007, from the second owner of the car. A frame off restoration was completed in 1999. There has been 1,608 miles recorded since the restoration. The car was born on August 9, 1955, and was purchased by the original owner on March 17, 1956, from Frank Taylor Ford in Los Angeles, California. One of the most popular 1955 colors, Thunderbird Blue, was the color option chosen by the original owner. A V-8/292cid 198 hp engine with an automatic transmission, power steering, power windows, power seats, power brakes, original radio, 6-volt battery, back-up lights and the soft top comes with the car. All options are in working order. All new Coker period correct Firestone tires including the spare tire on 15” wheels are included. The car has never been driven in the winter months and parked in temperature and humidity-controlled environment. All surfaces are in beautiful condition.
